Overnight train to Hanoi

We decided to try out a Vietnamese sleeper train...it was absolutely stunning scenery, travelling up the coast and winding our way through the mountains. We had a sleeper cabin and had a surprisingly good night's sleep, though somewhat disturbed by the driver beeping his horn every few seconds...I understand they drive this way, in order to overtake, but we couldn't work out why it was needed so much on a train?! 16 hours later we arrived in Hanoi at 5am and were greeted by a sea of jostling taxi drivers trying to scam us for lots of £££
